Greetings Alumni & Supporters,

I am delighted to greet you as your Southern Region Vice President. First, let me thank Mr. John Battle, president of the Dublin Laurens County Chapter, and chapter members for volunteering to host our 2019 Southern Region Conference in Dublin, Ga. Mr. Kerry Smith is the Conference Planning Committee Chair and it has been a pleasure collaborating with him in planning the conference.

Conference agenda is planned with you in mind…
Friday, March 1st, conference registration begins at 5:30 pm and the conference opening session is at 6:30 pm. This gives you ample time to travel into Dublin.

Immediately following the opening session, SSU Athletic Director, Mr. Opio Mashariki, will present and share information related to SSU’s athletic program transition from NCAA Division I to NCAA Division II and will make himself available to respond to your questions/comments. Following Mr. Mashariki, President Cheryl Dozier will present the “State of SSU” (our beloved university). During this session, alumni will have an opportunity to share issues, concerns and ask questions that are relevant to the university.

Later in the evening Dublin Chapter will host hospitality for bonding and unwinding at the hotel.

Saturday, March 2nd, workshop sessions will begin at 9:00 am. The sessions will focus on SSU student affairs, SSU fundraising campaigns, and SSUNAA chapter reporting. After lunch, chapter presidents will share flourishing “best practices.”

I look forward to seeing each of you.
